> Three key activities

NOVACAP is a Chemical Group which has been created on the 1st January 2003.

Most of its capital belongs to BAIN CAPITAL, one of the major US Investors Funds.

NOVACAP has taken over from the RHODIA Group its activities in phenol, hydrochloric acid and soda ash (NOVACARB) in Europe. RHODIA remains a minority shareholder of the company.

Next to NOVACARB, two new French companies have been created, one for phenol and its derivatives, named NOVAPEX, the other one for hydrochloric acid, named NOVACID.

The 2005 NOVACAP Group turnover was more than 400 million Euros. Financial results for all activities, which represent almost 500 people, have been consistently positive for the last five years.
